Connections: Live Office 1

- Activate COM-component in Excel 2003 for Live Office XI:

  • Open the Office application and then click View>Toolbars>Customize.
  • Click the ‘Commands’ ‘tab.
  • In the ‘Categories’ section, click ‘Tools’ and in the ‘Commands’ section, click ‘COM Add-Ins’. Drag ‘COM Add-Ins’ to the toolbar.
  • On the toolbar, click ‘COM Add-Ins’. The ‘COM Add-Ins’ dialogue box appears.
  • Click ‘Add’ and then browse to the Crystal_addin_framework.dll file. By default, this file is located in the X:Program FilesBusiness ObjectsBusinessObjects Enterprise 11Live Office folder.

- A menu item Live Office appears in Excel, click Option

- On Enterprise tab, fill in:

  • Webservice-URL: http://<server>/dswsbobje/services/session
  • System: <system>
  • Verification: Enterprise
  • Document Repository: http://<server>/businessobjects/enterprise115/InfoView/scripts/openDocument.htm

- Note: Adjust file location according to Enterprise version.
