Live Office 3: Extend maximum rows

To change the maximum returned number of rows in your Live Office connections, try the following (not guaranteerd):

1. Change all 3 of the LiveOffice_config.properties files in the dsws-liveoffice-provider.jar files found in these locations:
a. C:Program FilesBusiness ObjectsBusinessObjects Enterprise 12.0warfilesWebAppsdswsbobjeWEB-INFlib
b. C:Program FilesBusiness ObjectsTomcat55webappsdswsbobjeWEB-INFlib
c. C:Program FilesBusiness ObjectsBusinessObjects Enterprise 12.0webservicesendsws_webservice_boedataAssembledswsbobjeJavasrcWEB-INFlib
2. Empty the Tomcat cache by deleting the content of the folder C:Program FilesBusiness ObjectsTomcat55work
3. Empty the Java temporary files by accessing the Java Control Panel on Windows Control Panel – it is important to do on the workstation side.
4. Stop & restart Tomcat and all BOE servers and reboot the server.
5. Change the max rows in Xcelsius (File – Preferences – Excel options).

Also, the changes only take effect with new dashboards and new live office connections.

I have a problem but with the combo box it do not support more than 512 values. I’m using “Query Browser” connection with SAP BW. Then the combo box only show the first 512 values (I have 4096 values). Could suggest to my any answer???

Hi, this is due to the default setting of xcelsius, it limits at 512. Go to file – preferences – excel options and change the maximum number of rows to 5000 (at least the last row number in your spreadsheet). However the combobox will not perform with 5000 values, you should limit this, I have linked once 1000 rows, but normally I have around 250 rows and onky with the use of filtered rows to limit the options for the user.
